Get Lit will meet May 21st at 7pm to discuss Mort(e) by Robert Repino. It's a dystopian novel about animals rising up against their human overlords. Very fun and surprisingly thoughtful.

Spring into Action
Spring hits today at 6:45pm and don't think we aren't all a little excited. April's book will be The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. The Girl on the Train has turned into a surprise bestseller that many compare to Gone Girl, as well as classic Hitchcock films.

The Marchian--Get it? March...Martian...ugh
Forgive my bad pun but the snow is rendering me senseless. Thanks to all who braved the massive snow banks and chilly temperatures to join us last night to discuss You. It may be the most popular book we've done so far.
Next month we will be taking a different turn and reading the sci-fi adventure novel The Martian. I purchased this book on a whim while waiting on a flight at SFO and ended up loving it. The guy sitting across the aisle on the plane expressed how much he loved it when he saw me reading it. I think you'll dig it, even if you're not necessarily a sci-fi fan.

My Bloody Valentine
Join us this February to discuss Caroline Kepnes's YOU. This debut novel is not what it seems at first glance. A tale of obsessive love and lust that might just have to cheering for the "bad guy", and perhaps--even identifying with him.

New Year, New Book!
Our book for January, and our first of 2015, is Michael Faber's strange, hypnotic Under the Skin. Recently made into a film starring Scarlett Johansson, this book tells the story of an odd woman named Isserly who stalks the roads of Scotland looking for men.
